What You’ll Do:
• Operate drones to inspect utility infrastructure, including electric transmission and distribution assets, and natural gas assets.
• Plan and execute flight missions in accordance with regulatory body regulations and company protocols.
• Collect, process, and analyze aerial imagery and sensor data (e.g., thermal, LiDAR, RGB) to provide detailed information for analysis and assessment.
• Conduct visual inspections of overhead electric utility assets by analyzing data captured via UAS.
• Provide reports or recommendations to engineering, GIS, and maintenance teams to support decision-making.
• Maintain flight logs, equipment, and ensure all UAS are in optimal working condition.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections and environmental risk assessments.
• Stay current with UAS technology, regulatory body regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support emergency response efforts by providing rapid aerial assessments during outages, storms, or natural disasters.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies and internal compliance teams to ensure legal and ethical use of UAS.
• Provide technical reports and visual documentation to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Maintain compliance with company and department-specific training and qualifications.
• Effectively communicate with customers and other external stakeholders to conduct UAS operations safely.
• Participate in testing of new UAS platforms, sensors, and software tools. * Assist in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for drone operations.
• Assist in training entry-level drone pilots as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related Technology fields; OR a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience related to electric or natural gas utilities, project management, process improvement, technical services, or UAS operation.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Level 1 sUAS Thermography certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating UAS, preferably in the utility or energy sector.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with thermal imaging, LiDAR, or multispectral sensors.
• Knowledge of utility infrastructure and inspection standards.
• Experience with UAS flight planning and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk management.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and remote locations.

 We are looking for a hands-on Reality Capture Technician to support the launch of LIVE·TEAM’s new Spatial Capture capability. This role will focus on field-based site capture across stadiums, venues, hospitality environments, retail sites, offices, training grounds, and temporary event builds.
 
 You will operate scanning and imaging hardware on site, follow capture playbooks, carry out basic quality checks, and ensure data is transferred cleanly and consistently into the wider processing workflow. You will help create the digital foundations for planning, design, fabrication, measurement, digital twins, and future immersive workflows across LIVE·TEAM.
 
 Please note, this role will require regularly travel.
 
 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 
 
 
  Carry out site capture using FARO Blink/Focus and complementary tools such as mobile photogrammetry, phone/tablet LiDAR, and 360 capture where appropriate.
  Prepare for capture by reviewing request briefs, site scope, output needs, safety requirements, and access constraints.
  Travel to sites, set up equipment, execute scan plans, and adapt capture strategy based on real on-site conditions.
  Perform basic on-site QC to confirm coverage, scan completeness, data integrity, and any obvious gaps before leaving site.
  Upload, structure, label, and hand over captured datasets in line with agreed naming and storage standards.
  Work closely with the CAD/Output &#38; QA Technician to ensure captured data supports the required downstream outputs.
  Support validation scans, PoCs, and trials of new tools such as RealityScan and other complementary capture methods.
  Maintain equipment readiness, batteries, accessories, transfer workflows, and field documentation.
  Feed lessons learned back into team playbooks and standard operating procedures.
 
 
 THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED: 
 
 
  Experience with terrestrial laser scanning, reality capture, survey capture, photogrammetry, or similar field-based spatial documentation workflows.
  Experience operating scanners, 360 cameras, mobile capture tools, or comparable hardware in live environments.
  Comfortable working across indoor and outdoor venues, temporary structures, active sites, and public-facing environments.
  Good understanding of capture planning, scan position logic, coverage, and first-line quality control.
  Strong organisational skills and discipline around file handling, upload, and documentation.
  Able to communicate clearly with project managers, designers, operations teams, and site contacts.
  Comfortable working independently on site while following agreed methods and safety requirements.
  Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  Experience with FARO hardware or similar scanners.

  The Role 
  
   Landscape Observatory is looking for a GIS professional to manage a new team of GIS technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for a GIS professional with a track record of successful project management eager to build a long-term career in GIS as applied to landscape scale conservation management. You'll be an important team member in a ground breaking project to train AI to produce accurate land cover maps for ecosystem modelling and management outcome monitoring of protected landscapes covering 25% of England. 
  
  
   In the role you will be part of the Landscape Observatory team, based in the Peak District National Park. You will be responsible for leading a new team in the preparation and digitisation of aerial imagery for AI training. Working with our academic partners at Cranfield University and UK protected landscape teams on validation of digital maps and datasets for protected landscapes, feature mapping, helping to develop ecosystem and climate change impact modelling, research and a range of monitoring campaigns. 
  
  
   If successful you will spend the first 6 – 8 weeks full time working in our Bakewell Office with an option to take advantage of blended working (from home or other suitable base) up to 2 days per week after the initial period. The role is for an initial 12 month period with potential for extension dependant on further funding being secured.

   A calm and confident professional you will have a high level of GIS skills and an excellent understanding of GIS data management, quality assurance and verification processes. You will be able project manage a workstream process and support a young team to digitise habitats and landscape features verifying third party data layers with a high degree of accuracy from aerial photography of landcover based on our new schema. Working collaboratively with other team members, academic partners and protected landscape teams, you will help set and maintain consistent high standards of working with spatial data, including training and support, and help resolve technical issues.

Role / Responsibilities:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Utilities Surveyor at Adaptive Surveys based out of our Aberdeen or Central Belt Office. The Utilities Surveyor will be responsible for conducting underground utilities surveys in accordance with PAS128 including but not limited to;
· Completing site desktop studies and obtaining utility service diagrams from asset owners and service providers
· Field survey to locate buried utilities and services using a variety of techniques including EML and GPR.
· Collection and measurement of buried utilities using total station and GNSS survey techniques
· Preparation of final CAD deliverables and written reports.
The day-to-day tasks will involve a mix of field survey and office processing, including regular trips away to sites across the UK as well as internationally.
Whilst the majority of day to day work will entail utilities surveying, exposure and experience will be gained in the other survey services offered by Adaptive Surveys including laser scanning, mobile mapping, drone surveys, and 3D modelling.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Relevant certification or training in underground utility mapping, surveying or geospatial technologies to QCF Level 3 or higher or equivalent industry experience.
· In depth understanding and experience in undertaking in PAS128 compliant utility surveys
· Proficient in the application of EML and GPR techniques, data analysis and interpretation
· Experience in use and application of land surveying technologies and techniques such as GNSS and Total Station
· Competent in the use of CAD and surveying software such as AutoCAD, LSS and TBC.
· Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
· Experience in the built environment or construction industry is a plus
· Ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team
